What are your hours?
Generally, hours of operation are Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 7:00pm, Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am to 2:00pm. Virtual appointments can be scheduled at alternative times on a case-by-case basis.
Where is your office located?
Food Smarts Nutrition serves clients throughout the Louisville, Kentucky area. Your dietitian will come to your home or other agreed-upon location (in the case of group classes or guided grocery shopping). If you reside outside of the Metro Louisville service area, additional travel charges may apply. Virtual visits are also available for those who live too far away to be seen in person.
What are the costs of your services?
Group class prices vary, as different classes have different costs associated with them. Affordable options are available for groups of all sizes. Please contact Food Smarts Nutrition directly for a free, no-obligation, 15-minute consultation about group classes and
Individual counseling sessions are available as single sessions or as multi-visit packages. Please send a message via the contact page to learn about specific options that will best meet your needs.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, Food Smarts Nutrition is not able to accept insurance. Payment with cash or check is due at the time of service.
Some insurance plans do offer reimbursement for nutrition services. If your insurer offers reimbursement, you will still need to pay Food Smarts Nutrition directly. Then, Food Smarts Nutrition will provide you with a Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
I’m not sure I’m ready for one-on-one counseling, but my friends and I are all interested in learning about the same nutritional topic. Can you do a group class at my house?
In most cases, yes. This is a really fun and affordable activity for small groups. Please contact Anna to make arrangements for a personalized nutrition “party.” You’ll have fun and learn something new – and probably get to try some delicious healthy foods, too!
Do you welcome LGBTQ individuals and families?
Yes, absolutely! You can be sure that you and your family will be welcomed whole-heartedly and treated with kindness and respect.
Who can benefit from nutrition counseling with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist?
The short answer: Everyone!
The longer answer: People seek expert nutrition care and coaching for many reasons. Nutrition plays a huge roll in health maintenance and disease management. Working with an RDN can help you make changes and adopt practices that will help you feel better and achieve your health goals.
